GFCI receptacles in a home serve a great purpose, but can also be a nuisance. As a home owner myself it is frustrating to have a tripped outlet in an unknown place that creates an electrical outage on both the front and back patio. When customers call about these common problems in their kitchens, bathrooms, and patios, we do our best to help them locate these outlets in the home to save the trip for just a reset. Once this outlet is found and is reset, most of the time the client is good to go with no charge. But, when the time comes to replace the GFCI, it is highly recommended and required by code. This is probably the most common service call in a home. Stay informed here with more electrical talk to come!
